Default "Atlas Shrugged"

Go see it. Started off a little slow, but by the end you will be happy. Well, and scared shitless. There was nothing in the movie that is out of the realm of possibility.

its a joke that he is called the Mag Whisperer, till he fixes the unfixable and hands you a gun that sings, screams and does everything you wanted it to be, and then the name is well earned.

How close to the book is it, and how much did they have to leave out? (I imagine quite a bit).

Not sure, since I never read it. I cant imagine what could have been left out, seeing I left the theater thinking I might want to buy a tanker truck full of gas before it goes up to $36.5 a gallon

It's already $9 a gallon in a lot of Europe and has been around there for many years

We have it pretty easy over here right now

Petrol in europe has always been much higher than here. They tax it at a higher rate in order to pay for all of the big government socialized programs thet have there (as you would know). About 8 years ago, gas here in nj was between .99 and $1.15 a gallon.

I thought it was a little longer ago than that.
Either way, those were the good days It only cost me about $18-20 to fill my car w/ premium 93 octane. Now it's roughly $77

Yeah, I remember when I got here ~11 years ago and it was around $1 a gallon

A lot of the petrol tax actually goes to fund public transport/road repair/etc

I didn't even have my license when I left the UK at 19 - it's not just the petrol. You have to have your car inspected yearly for 100+ different things and if it fails on any of them, you can't renew your registration until it is fixed.

It was like 7-8 marks a liter when I was in Germany. Not a gallon but a liter.

Back in the day, that was round $5 so you figure....$20 a gallon. The US dollar to the Mark fluctuated around 1 dollar to 1 1/2 marks. This was like late 90's back in the day when the Euro dollar was just starting to circulate. Still haven't seen a Euro in RL.

Two problems with euro gas.
1. Higher octane rating their pump fuel is usually equal to our RACE gas.
2. Socialization gotta get money from some were.

But as far as Atlas Shrugged goes one reply, Mad Max.

EDIT: Fuck it lets just blow shit up!

They actually calculate the octane rating differently, it's pretty much the same shit we have here, it just costs 5x as much.
