Default Dirty, dirty whore... got a new pump

I just couldn't resist... I got bit by the pump bug again at Reaperball and wanted something different from my CCM J2L (you know, variety is the spice of life)

Got this off eBay for a respectable price a little over a week ago. Just shot it today to make sure it was working:

It works Even better, it's actually quite comfy to handle. The pump handle is VERY small. I'd have to play with it in a game to see if I might want to swap it out.

It does have the 3/4 cocking problem that everyone has but I didn't even notice. If you're gentle on the pump (it doesn't require much to pull it), you'll probably notice the problem more.

Can't wait to run with it for a day and see how it really handles.

Beat me to it!

I have been looking around lately. Not many good deals out there on these.

Glad you found one.

From looking in the eBay history, it seems that these were selling pretty low at the end of summer but the prices seemed to have risen recently.
The only "good" deals I've seen are either beat up, have stupid laser etching, or missing stock parts.

Interesting. air lines internal?

Funny how much detail comes back when you haven't looked at pump guns in so long.

Its a Nelson valvetrain I presume? (i.e. Phantom, Line SI Bushmaster, etc)

I never finished my project Phantom... should get on that...

Anyhoo- The pump arm looks interesting, one of the older Carter designs had something like that.

price tag I'm seeing from 2 minutes googling is kinda scary.

yes, air through grip (w/ regulator internal to the grip too)

It's an inline poppit based on the Bob Long Marq Victory (MVP = Marq Victory Pump). I don't know all the techy details though.

The pump action is very smooth as the rail rides on ball bearings.

The overall craftsmanship appears to be done very well (although I haven't really pulled it apart yet) which is common on most BL markers and part of the reason for the price.

btw, I did get this used. I certainly wasn't paying $700 for a pump. Although some CCM marker configurations can reach that high too, usually with a barrel kit.
