Default ASA's

So I feel like I've been away from the game for a bit too long.

I'm currently working on a new RT classic project and trying to hunt down some misc. parts.

Why are there no options for ASA's anymore? All of the stuff that I used to use is no longer in production. Namely BL gear/cam drives and the NDZ asa's.
I know that you can still get CP but trying to avoid the side-mount fitting.

The PE POPs seem to be the most popular now but I don't care for the dust finish (or the overly boxy look of them)

Did all of the aftermarket stuff die off when manufacturers started making their markers w/o external macroline? It makes sense but I would think that there's still a large population of players not using the latest markers.

Pretty much. Hoseless guns really killed the ASA. I believe the cam or gear drives from BL were good but complicated or too expensive to make them. POPs is the number 1 ASA out there but i don't like them myself. I do like the OOPs & OOPs 2 ASAs and can generally find them for a song in comparison to the more popular POPs.

Haven't talked to Simon about when we should expect his ASA. Don't have many details on when or the specs of it. But other than what is floating on the used market or what is being unearthed through some shops, certain parts are getting harder and harder to find anymore. Its almost better to find the part in the wrong colour or finish and pay for it to meet your needs

Matt, I have a Geardrive I'm not using... gloss silver. Only issue is that I have not solved a leak in it yet.

Exactly the color and finish that I'm looking for!
Curious about the leak... I've never disassembled a geardrive before. Do you know if BL has a rebuilt kit for them?

A quick look on BLASTdirect and they don't even acknowledge any ASAs. PBN might have it but no clue. If you get it, i can send you some orings, if you give me a roundabout clue to about what sizes and how many.

ASA's are only for people who play paintball.

its a joke that he is called the Mag Whisperer, till he fixes the unfixable and hands you a gun that sings, screams and does everything you wanted it to be, and then the name is well earned.

I'm working on it I'm trying to make it a point to get out more than 1-2x/year.

At the very least, it's still fun to build markers.

I took a cursory look online this morning and it seems that there are only 2 o-rings. The macro fitting seems to be the more common place to leak and seems simple to disassemble that part.

After talking to Simon today, the ASAs are still a long way off.

This one has me stumped... the only thing I didn't do was take off the C-clip inside. They shipped with 1 re-build (I got this one used, so I burned one I had).

PM me your address and we can figure out details later.
