Default Intro to Basic Components - Breadboards

Breadboards are a tool used to test and prototype a circuit that allows the user to move the components around and change the circuit on the fly.

I bought this bread board from Jameco for about $16 dollars (http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/sto...10001_20758_-1)

The holes are all internally connected horizontally with the exception of the negative (blue) and positive (red) terminal holes which run vertically. On this particular board, there are axillary POS and NEG connection pins at the top you can use. I do not use these.

What Exactly Can I Do With This Thing?????

Take a look at this picture,...

What I did was plugged in a UTB into the factory wire harness.
I placed a trigger switch, push button, LED, capacitor, solenoid, and a 9v battery,.... which you can control the board with this setup!

All this done without soldering! This is a simple way to test your setup, wiring that you may want to try, and modifications without destroying your controller board.

So why do you need the bread board when we all know controller boards like the UTB already work with Electro-pneumatic (EP) Solenoids and "Pancake" Solenoids?

Simple,.. we love to modify our equipment. And wouldnt you know it,... guns like the E-Mag use a solenoid that boards like the UTB, Chaos, and others can not shift.

So what we are going to do at the end of the sub-forum, is make a "daughter circuit" that we can add into the "main circuit" (the existing one on your controller board such as the UTB) and drive a solenoid such as the one in the AGD E-Mag ;-)
