Pre2k Dye cocker value?

I picked a pre2k Dye cocker. I'm thinking about building a pump kit for it but, if somebody tells me it's worth a decent chunk of change I might have to send to a new home. I know cocker values are all over the place but, anybody have a clue as to the current market value? there are a couple scratches by the detent and a couple that look like they came from the gearbag, other than that the guy said he only used it about ten times total. These pics aren't that great so, maybe they're only worth a couple of hundred words:

That's the price range I was thinking, for that I'll make it into a pump. ;)

If someone had said "I'll give you $500 for it " I'd be sending it down the road. :D
